Works council information and consultation note
To the members of the works council,
Management intends to introduce Squadlog to get a per-team view of development activity on GitHub. Before implementing a tool that makes it possible to monitor employee activity, the works council is informed and consulted.
1. Purpose
Give team leads a factual view of collective activity (pull requests waiting for review, review and merge delays, review load) to organize work. The tool is not meant to assess individual employees.
2. Data processed
Name, work email and GitHub logins of the developers concerned; activity metadata on company repositories: dates of commits, pull requests, reviews and issues, pull request titles and sizes. Source code is not stored. No working time or presence data.
3. Safeguards
- No computed performance score and no automated decision (GDPR art. 22). Figures are shown per person and can be sorted; they are facts, not an assessment.
- Access limited to the leads of the teams concerned, by defined roles.
- Each employee is informed individually when their GitHub account is linked.
- Retention: (30 days, 90 days or 12 months depending on the plan).
- Hosted in the European Union; processor: Kadiaak OÜ (Estonia), bound by an article 28 agreement.
- Access and erasure requests handled by:
